About Me
Hello, my name is John. Well, it’s not. But that’s what most people call me.
I’m based in Hereford, UK (not Texas) and have been working within the construction industry as a project manager and cost estimator since 2008.
Alongside a slew of construction-related qualifications, I also have a 100% success rate for Planning applications (9/9) and Building Regulation applications (2/2), including commercial business extensions, and listed building works.
At the age of 27 I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. The disease has mainly affected the joints in my hands, causing them to become deformed, thus meaning any sign language would be in italics.
In 2023 I returned to education part-time, and in 2025 graduated with a HNC in Engineering (Electronics). My final year project was designing, building and programming the LiDAR scanner, which was awarded a distinction.
My interests are varied and fluctuate with the seasons due to a leaky garage roof, however, as a rule of thumb, if it has wheels, a motor or is powered with electricity then I’m interested.
About this Website
During the COVID-19 lockdowns, I got into microcontrollers and 3D printers, so in 2022 this website was created as a way to document my various creative outlets and offer a way to publicly host various resources for access online.
As I’ve heavily relied on the open-source community for much of my knowledge, I therefore have no intention of monetising the content nor introducing any adverts on any of these pages.
While I try to ensure that the information held on this site is correct, I cannot guarantee success, nor do I take any responsibility for how you use it.
I hope you enjoy your visit! Should you have any questions or just want to drop a message then please don’t hesitate to use the form on the contact page.
